The super action movie “Max Payne” starring Mark Wahlberg succeeded in shooting its way to

the top of the North American box office this weekend by making its début with $18 million to outdo Oliver Stone’s long debated film, the biography of George W. Bush. “Max Payne,â€� based on the video game, was seen from 3,239 locations. The fact that a lot of fans of the game anxiously went to see what the movie adaptation is all about.

After “Max Payne” the race got pretty tight. Disney’s “Chihuahuaâ€� declined just 37% in its third weekend to gross an estimated $11.2 million, thus being this weekend’s second most watched film with $11.2 million. “Beverly Hills Chihuahua” had been the Number 1 movie the previous two weekends. In case you missed this one, it is a movie about Chloe, a ritzy Beverly Hills Chihuahua that finds herself lost in Mexico and is in desperate need of assistance in order to get back home.
