by winning the WBC Lightweight title over David Diaz via round 9 TKO on Saturday night at Mandalay Bay. Pacman added a world title in his fourth weight division and improved his record to 47-3-2, 35 KO’s.
Dethroned WBC Lightweight titleholder David Diaz (34-2-1, 17 KOs) displayed a brilliant fight but Pacquiao is much quicker and sharper. Pacquiao knocks-down Diaz in the 9th round (2:24 minutes) and ended the fight.
