New Shangri-La hotel to open at The Fort
One of the best luxury hotel companies in Asia - Shangri-La Asia will open a new hotel in Manila, particularly at The Fort by 2012.
The new hotel is more than 60 storey-building, almost 500 guestrooms and 200 plus apartments. The location is along Fifth and 30th Avenue - within former military base of Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City. Its just a 30-minute drive from the airport and 10 minutes from Makati Business District.
The interior design for guestrooms and main lobby will be undertaken by US-based Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP. Guestrooms area is range from 52 square metres (standard room) to 260 square metres (Horizon Club room).
According to CEO of Shangri-La Mr. Edward Kuok, “Shangri-La at the Fort will not only be a striking new addition to the Manila skyline, but a demonstration of our firm commitment to the Phillipines, Our presence and confidence in this market continues to grow, with an expanding portfolio of business and leisure properties.”
