Three major telco companies may extend their reduction fees on text messages.

Malacañang announced Wednesday that the three major telecommunication companies may extend their short-term reduction in fees on text messages sent between networks.

Smart Communications, Globe Telecoms, and Sun Cellular sent a separate letters to President’s office stating that they may extend their move to reduce fees on text messages sent between networks from Php 1 to 50 centavos if approved by NTC (National Telecommunications Commission).

High inflation rates and President Arroyo’s appeal to give relief to consumers is the reason for the three telcos to reduced fees on text messages between networks.
