Rudy Fernandez who suffered from a periampullary cancer for two years passed away at 6:15 a.m. in his home in White Plains, Quezon City.

Periampullary cancer is a cancer that forms near the ampulla of Vater - an enlargement of the ducts from the liver and pancreas where they join and enter the small intestine.

Senators Jinggoy Estrada and Bong Revilla informed the media about his death. According to Revilla, Rudy suffered from internal bleeding for a couple of days.

The remains of Rudy were brought Saturday to Taguig – Heritage Park and off-limit from media.
