MTV Asia’s Favorite Artist in the Phils. - Chicosci
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - MTV Asia awarded Chicosci as Favorite Artist of the Philippines.
Chicosci is an eight year old band with five members:
» Miguel Chavez - vocalist
» Mong Alvarez - guitar
» Carlos Calderon - bass
» Ariel Lumanlan - guitar
» Sonny Baquisal - guitar (former member)
The band is formed when the members joined an inter-school bands competition and currently a contract artist of MCA-Universal Music.
The band is slowly spreading their music acros Southeast Asia and they also shared the stage with American big-name acts like Good Charlotte, Fall Out Boy and Thursday. Chicosci also toured with others groups from Australia.
They are also part of the Crossborders event in Singapore last December 2006 and recently in Invasia Tour in countries like Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia.
